Antioxidant, Protoscolicidal, Hemocompatibility, and Antibacterial Activity of Nickel Oxide Nanoparticles Synthesized by Ziziphus spina-christi

Abstract Over the past several years, greener fabrication of metal oxide nanoparticles has attracted significant attention due to their simplicity, eco-friendliness, availability, and nontoxicity. This paper focused on nickel (NiO-NPs) using leaf extract Ziziphus spina-christi L. evaluating its potential biological activities. The characterization synthesized NiO-NPs was confirmed ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy, field emission-scanning electron microscope, energy-dispersive X-ray diffraction. Furthermore, protoscolicidal, antibacterial, antioxidant activities hemocompatibility were investigated. findings revealed that crystalline nanoscale between 50- 90-nm particle sizes. showed high scolicidal activity against Echinococcus granulosus . viability treated protoscoleces exponentially decreased with an increase in concentration NiO-NPs. exhibited effective antibacterial Escherichia coli Staphylococcus aureus also possess a H 2 O scavenging dose-dependent manner. study Z. is reducing capping agent for production NiO-NPs; it critical properties. Moreover, have potent low toxicity erythrocytes appear hemocompatible.
